A special assembly was held on Thursday to host with absolute privilege and honour a group of outstanding athletes who are to compete in this years NZ Ironman held in Taupo on Saturday. American Meredith Kessler who has competed in 60 Ironman events, her 6th in Taupo; twelfth time winner Cameron Brown; returning from Great Britain Laura Siddall; and our very own Cassie Nicholson who teachers here at Taupo Intermediate School, were able to share their thoughts and ideas with our students, some of whom will compete in our School Triathlon next week.
