The cost of tuition for one school year for 2015 is NZ$ 10,000.00 + GST. The school year runs from February to early December (4 Terms). Each term is a 10 weeks-term.
In the case of a student gaining visa status that allows them free education in New Zealand, fees or the remainder of that term will apply. The student may then apply for entry to the school – acceptance will be determined by the school’s enrolment scheme.
Students who withdraw before their start date will be refunded the Tuition Fees less 20% administration fee. (20% of one term)
Successful applicants, following the payment of fees, will receive a tuition fee receipt. This receipt and the Offer of Place letter will be needed for student visa applications.
Acceptance into Taupo Intermediate will be at the discretion of the principal. The school has the right to reject an enrolment application if it feels that it cannot cater for the student.
The tuition fee covers all normal programme costs. School Camp costs and class trip costs are not included in the Tuition Fee (e.g. Camp fees = NZ$200.00, sports team registration, music lessons, etc.)
Taupo Intermediate requires students to dress in a uniform. This must be bought by the student and is not included in the fee structure. Average cost of this is NZ$ 400. There is no need to purchase stationery as this is covered in the tuition fee.
International students should be able to understand and converse with the classroom teacher at normal speed. Taupo Intermediate School has Basic English language proficiency requirement.
Tuition fees are hold in a school trust account administrated by DPA Chartered Accountants, Taupo.
